Assessment as well as feedback are important in courses. The most common assessment types (and they should be used in courses) are the formative and the summative assessment. Additionally, diagnostic assessment (sometimes called pre-assessment and often done before the course starts or at the begin of a course) or finally benchmarking as an assessment are used.
Assessment in TIBL courses always must take the training approach, using sustained learning, into account.
Hint: The most flexible method is the formative assessment.

Assessment methods and formats are explained at the beginning.
